Juliard Vineyard, a ten acre parcel adjacent to Worden Hill Road owned by Julia Staigers and Gerard Koschal, was planted in 1986 with pinot noir, riesling and gewurztraminer. The due south facing hillside with deep-red jory soil produces pinot noir with distinctive berry flavors and good richness. When the weather conditions are suitable, the riesling develops botrytis or noble rot, a benevolent mold prized in Germany and France for production of dessert wines.
